Mindfulness Training

The use of mindfulness both to aid medical and emotional issues, and as an adjunct to other forms of psychotherapy, is well documented.  Dr. Hudson believes these methods can help almost all patients. It can be especially valuable for those suffering from chronic conditions and in the recovery from major medical issues and surgery. Good examples are pelvic pain, chronic prostatitis, irritable bowel, chronic pain and the recovery from cancer treatment and surgery.

Mindfulness practice is also useful to aid chronic anxiety and depression, and during stressful times such as during a malpractice suit or divorce. Mindfulness and meditation are valuable tools in anger management.

Dr. Hudson has used these techniques in his personal life for over thirty years. He has taken training with the  National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine.
