Mindfulness in anger management

Next

Mindfulness and meditation are valuable tools in anger management and are useful adjuncts to other forms of psychotherapy.  It is especially helpful in managing the stress associated with anger and in helping to providing insight in anger management education. Mindfulness practice is also useful to aid chronic anxiety and depression, and during stressful times such as during a malpractice suit or divorce.

Dr. Hudson has used these techniques in his personal life for over thirty years. He has taken training with the  National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine.

Dr. Hudson believes mindfulness techniques can help almost all patients. It can be especially valuable for those suffering from chronic conditions and in the recovery from major medical issues and surgery. Good examples are pelvic pain, chronic prostatitis, irritable bowel, chronic pain and the recovery from cancer treatment and surgery.
